I heard about moms (NOT ME) getting there child/children a credit card to help build their credit for the future. What are your thoughts about getting a child a credit card from a clothing store like The Gap, Carters, Children Place etc?
@mommy2bean, sorry to hear that.. well if u ever do get a credit card don’t get a whole bunch.. one is good enough.. n yeah I believe that’s called a secured credit card. I didn’t get it either at first but it definitely did help my credit
@dinamarie2604 I've never had a credit card I've just gotten scammed. And I hate the whole you put your own money into a credit card then pay on top of that like whaaa?!
@mommy2bean, lmaooo.. it’s hard having good credit with no job.. I be so tempting to apply for credit cards.. but that’s how they get you
@mommy2bean, I will definitely look into it once I get mine to where I want it to be😊😊
I think it's awesome if you do it! My mom never did it for me and I wish she did. My man's mother did it for him and he's got amazing credit. I think it's awesome unless you're using it in a wrong way!
@chrisb Awwwwwwwwww thats amazing. You are very blessed to have parents like them. They the real MVP's 😊😊😊
@mommiesaremagical14 That makes more sense lol.. Someone I knew said they got a card for their child but I didnt get into details with her about it. Thats probably what she did.. Her daughter was about 3 or 4 at the time, its just didn't make sense to me
@chrisb that's great that your parent's did that to help build your credit
We plan on adding him to one of our existing cards eventually. That builds his credit but isn't his OWN card.
No one under the age of 18 can get a line of credit at any store I definitely would not do that because your credit is everything that’s childish on them foolish parents they screw up their credit so they think oh it’s okay we won’t screw up our kids credit then their child is 18 years old trying to apply for loan and they get denied 🙅🏼
