Ok. What are your thoughts on this, my sister took a test a few days ago and it came back faintly…

She might want to go to her primary doctor just to make sure. But since she's cramping and bleeding, plus a negative test they probably "assumed" but definitely unprofessional that they didn't do any blood work or ultrasound to confirm miscarriage.

Was it a pee test? Or blood? Honestly sounds more like early pregnancy to me. I bled through my first trimester. She should go see her ob.

@raquely that's what I always had happen but they didn't run any blood work at all. @maesmommy04 pee test. No blood work was done.

@dianne1211 in my experience pee tests at the er or Dr clinic always seem to show negative longer than the home ones. Probably because if it's faint they don't look as hard as the pregnant woman. I'd for sure get a second opinion. When I miscarried they did blood work. That showed my levels were 0. So no ultrasound.

@maesmommy04 ok that's what i told her to do and I told her to take Tylenol just in case it's not a miscarriage so she's not taking medication that could potentially harm the baby if she is still pregnant

I wouldn't trust the ER, I had went to the ER when I was about 7 weeks for spotting and all they did was check the heart beat and it was low like 120 and said I was having a threatened miscarriage because of the low heart rate and spotting. But they never did an ultrasound. Went to my ob next day and everything was fine.

@mari_c I told her to get a second opinion because especially since the spotting stopped it could be early pregnancy spotting

@tayler @raquely @maesmommy04 @mari_c Ok blood work was done they said based of lmp she 5 weeks 2 day and her levels were 436 and that she's having a miscarriage. I'm so confused. I was always told blood work is negative if it's 0 or not in the normal range for the estimated week?!?!

@dianne1211, earlier this year, when I had a miscarriage, my Hcg was 635 but I was bleeding too much for it to be normal. I did blood work every five days or so until it was 0. It took about 3 1/2 weeks to go down to 0. I would have her call her Dr. and have another Hcg done in 48 hours. With my current pregnancy I bled through the first ten weeks or so, it could still be early bleeding

@ash621 she's calling tomorrow to set up an appointment with her OB so hopefully he will run more blood work
