So would they possibly let me out of the hospital early since I have already had a c section before? Just curious.
@babyveach Honestly, walk around as soon as they remove the catheter and try not to take the pain meds. They also factor those things in to how long you have to stay.
@babyveach did you speak to your doctor about this? Also, do you plan on breastfeeding? They can also keep you if the baby is having latching issues or if you're bleeding more than you should/infection issues. Lots of things factor in such as the thing I mentioned as well as hospital policy and your insurance.
@arivera64 that's kinda what I'm hoping for but with my luck they would keep me for the whole 3 days. Lol
@snarfyk It Is Scheduled For The 29th of November. And they give you what you need when you lead so I'm not worried. I only took my pain med when I needed it which wasn't that often. I picked up my prescription before I went home and probably still have them in my medicine cabinet to be honest. The only difficult part was the getting out of bed.
@babyveach I was out of the hospital a little before 36 hours after my emergency csection. No wheelchair. I carried my daughter's car seat with her in it and my husband carried our suitcase. Also, I didn't take not one painkiller, just used Tylenol and heat packs. Yale new haven didn't give us diapers, wipes, maternity pads, supplemental formula or anything to leave the hospital with to bring home. I hope the hospital you deliver at provides you with a better mental experience than I had. Is yours scheduled?
No lol ...they like to try to keep you for at least 3 days...that's how long i had to stay...and I've had two .
@babyveach Lol. I know. You know y'all need more rest and healing time than those who deliver vaginally. Rest up and take advantage of that hospital help
@snarfyk yeah I'm going to breastfeed and pump. I want her to be used to bottle and breast and I barely ever stayed off my feet with my first. I hate laying down for too long or anything so that shouldn't be a problem. We will see. Only a little over month to go. I don't care really I just hate hospitals
