Just curious, if you don't feel your baby move much and you go to triage, what do they do for you? I assume hook you up to a monitor, but even if they're not moving much after that what happens? Do they induce you?

They basically track baby's movement for about 1hr and if activity is lower than normal, the next step MAY be induction. To refrain from having to induce they'll try everything to get baby's activity up.... soda, etc.

When I was pregnant with my youngest. They hooked me up, gave something to drink and eat, and made press a button every time I felt her. If they feel like baby is under stress then I would think they would induce but it’s all up to the doctor

They induced me at 38 weeks with my son (almost 5 years ago) because of a decrease in activity...

Yea also they’ve been known to do sonograms to check in on them as well. But the above post is correct .

@kkmamax3, yeah! That is cool. I've been hooked up to a monitor before, but usually they don't let you see what the paper is saying.
