Anyone who has had a PLANNED csection did you get the catheter after the numbing medicine? I had natural and emergency C-section my last pregnancy my baby was 10 lb 15 oz I couldn't push him out so I had to have a csection because it was taking too long and he wouldn't fit and I had like 5 catheters not exaggerating. They didn't know why he wasn't coming out they didn't know he was so big since an ultrasound can be off up to 2 lb both ways and my daughter was 8 lb 5 oz and I didn't have a problem. But sorry long story short the catheter was the WORST part even with no eidoral or other drugs. And I just want to know if you felt the catheter, or if it was inserted after the numbing .

I had mine inserted after numbing, so I didn't feel a thing. They told me I might, but the epidural was amazing for me lol

Mine was after numbing. I didn't feel a thing and honestly didn't feel it coming out either.

I had mine after the numbing. I didn’t feel it at all. Just maybe some pressure but nothing painful

Thanks everyone. :) That's reassuring. The hospital I went to was crap. They were basically yelling at me on the 5th one. They kept taking it out and trying different things because my huge 11 lb baby couldnt get out. I was bleeding tmi everywhere from it and screaming. It was the WORST thing in my entire life. So that's all I keep thinking about
