So mommies tell me what y’all think bout this I was working as a assistant manager in a restaurant and I stepped down due to my sickness and pain with my pregnancy so now the manager only gives me 24-26 hours a week...I was told I might as well sit at home and draw unemployment for those little hours and I stay a good bit away it’s not even worth the gas ?????

I'd be complaining to whoever is over the manager that could be looked at as the manager getting back at you for getting pregnant.

@motherofthree87 depending on how serious you are about the job id consult with an attorney because thats harassment. Was there any reason given for them cutting your hrs ?

the only thing with getting unemployment is you would have to be fired. if you quit, you wouldn’t be able to get it. but it could be different depending what state you’re in

@motherofthree87 It might depend on your states laws but im pretty sure that's against the law to discriminate a woman due to a pregnancy and that's what is being done. At least in the state i live in if that happened to me i would have the means to file a discrimination case against the company and sue.
