Has anyone ever gotten pregnant while on birth control? Because it’s happening to me..

@kkleah1998, No, I didn't. I was off of it for about a year before getting pregnant. How long have you been on the shot? I wanna say I was on it for at least 2 years. If not longer.

@courtney.welsh, only a couple months. Like 2 but I’m pregnant. I’ve heard people have gotten pregnant on it before, especially women my age. I’ve been on the shot before and never experienced this before and I’ve also been pregnant before.

@kkleah1998, yeah, nothing is ever 100% I guess. I was on it from about 16 ish to 19. My mom was the one who insisted I be on it, she said it was the most effective. But it made me horrible in the hormonal department. 🙄 I hated it. And I thought it made me not able to have kids, but thank goodness that wasn't the case.

I had a roommate get pregnant on the pill, then get pregnant on the shot. She wanted her tubes tied but Bc she wasn't 25 the doc wouldn't do it.

She used to poke holes in condoms at the store, so maybe that was just her karma... poor kids though, she was a horrible mother.

@kkleah1998, I think with her it was a hormone imbalance. I've heard of it several times though, and also with condoms.

Yeah, that makes sense. Plus in the recent relationship I got out of we had sex like everyday. But I was on the IUD and got it removed and got on the shot. Still had a lot of sex then but I haven’t had the shot for too long. I’m guessing I got pregnant on the iud because I only had it for a month and then had a lot of sex and every time he’s never pulled out. Nothing is ever 100% because every woman is different.

I was able to go 6 years with 2 planned pregnancies one surprise pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage, by pulling out and planning around periods and fertile windows. The surprise was argued to be planned, but it wasn't... we agreed to get off BC because of how bad it messed with my body, hormones and period... so when we got married hubby said I could go off it.
