Why Do People Think I'm 12?

@masonsmom0609 that's so annoying whether you were 12 or 15 as long as you take care of responsibility who cares. People are worried about the wrong shit.

@mami3st2011 right, it's just rude. Whether I'm at the dentist or the shoe store, everyone has their input. I'm being crabby today 😣

I mean, one of the labor nurses had a son who was 21, and, to ourselves, we wondered if she had him at 8 because she looked so young! But that's more an observation that she looks damn good for her age, not a judgement on when she had children. It doesn't matter WHEN you have kids, doesn't even matter if you're a single mom or not. What matters is random people passing judgment on others they don't even know!

I'd be annoyed too though. A mother isn't defined by her age. Smh

I have the same problem I went to home depot the other day and this old woman who was a worker gave me this nasty judgey look, and just looked me up, and down because I'm pregnant, and I look like I'm 12, and I just rolled my eyes at her because only ignorant people judge a book by it's cover. I'm 20 almost 21 in November, I've been married for 2 years, and I've been with my husband for almost 5 years.

@mami3st2011 I agree!!! My sister had her first son a month after she turned 15 and she was an amazing mother. She was smart, independent and successful. @masonsmom0609 I'm sure you were an incredible mom from day one!!! Don't let others ignorance bother you.

@mommiesaremagical14 @masonsmom0609 I know my cousin has her daughter right after her 14th birthday. She graduated with honors and has a degree in social working now. And she was a single mom. Granted she had help, but we all need help at some point. As long as your a good mother age is just a number. I know people who didn't have kids until their 20s and are shit mothers.

Well let me say I admire you for keeping your baby and raising him. Its not easy to grow up fast like that. I respect your determination and I'm sure your an even better mother because of it. Babies make us mature fast!

@masonsmom0609 you're welcome dear, I understand I had to watch my sister go through the same thing. She's happy she had all her children Young. She had all four of her boys by the time she was 23.
