So lab said they didn’t want to do my glucose test bc I had one when I was 8 weeks and they will just use that one from the hospital but my dr wasn’t there today and I know she wanted me to have one?? What do u guys think?? Can they use one at 8 weeks when I’m now 28 weeks?

They really shouldn't. You could have developed Gestational Diabetes since 8 weeks.

It's important to do anther one because at 8 weeks the placenta hasn't even taken over the main role of supporting the fetus. Gd also usually doesn't occur until later on.
I had 3 normal pregnancies but with my last one I had gd. You never know

Did your doctor give them a script for the glucose test now? I don't think a lab can say "Oh no, we're ignoring that."

Oh no! They will want one now! I had one at 21 weeks and they had me go back and take another at 28 weeks

@catherineg1984, yeah I have a feeling when I see my doc on Monday she is going to be like wtf!! And just schedule me again.... it’s the Indian clinic and they never communicate with each other well... but it’s free so I try not to complain
