My 7 year old got off the school bus the other day and her cheeks were red....I mean extremely red! The first thing me and my husband asked her was OMG what's wrong with you, are you okay? I started freaking out feeling her head asking if she felt okay today and she said she was fine, just hot! I kept asking her everything and she was acting fine. I even started thinking OMG is my child getting rosatia. She just wouldn't budge on telling me anything. Finally me and her went to the store and I said I can't believe how red your cheeks still are....her response...yeah the girl I was siting with put makeup on me...it's blush!
Okay wth why did you not tell me! Smh! I said I don't care I'm not mad if you play with makeup! Why is my child lying to me! This isn't the only time she's lied in the past month! Anyone else kids going thru a lying stage?

Yes my 9yo did that at the early age of 5. He did it because his classmates told him he didn't have to tell his parents everything.

School kids are such a bad influence for our kids now days. Because some of us do our best to raise our children to be honest while other kids are taught something else. We just told him he won't be in trouble when he is honest unless he repeats the habit again. That's what we did with our son.

@lovely.angee that's what I've tried to teach her....IDK she's just having a lot of problems this year in school, in kindergarten she was thus sweet little angel, now in first grade she's all the time getting in trouble!

@carolina_mama I am not sure. Maybe my sister can give you some inside. She has two daughters. I only have boys and well they tend to be different than girls. I am expecting a girl but no experience with daughters yet. @gritsrr

@lovely.angee thanks! I think a lot of it has to do with having a new baby sister! She's showing out for attention. But we try extra hard to give her special attention and give her one on one time it's just hard with a newborn. And congratulations on your little princess!

@carolina_mama Ohhhh yesss that's it. Hahaha My 4yo used to call me mom and now that a lot of people show more attention to my belly he calls me mommy and wants to be stuck with me for everything like a piece a gum on a shoe.😅😏
