@chocolatemomma i agree...my point was more about ppl pushing legal marriage like it actually makes a relationshipean more....it doesnt. & most of the benefits are obtainable without a legal marriage if those provisions are made ahead of time, which just furthers my point. lol

In one respect though being legally married definitely makes you work out your issues for everything because you have a lot riding on eachother and legally. Idk I feel a lot stronger being married. It's a sense of teamwork I've never felt before

@ecahanes i can see that but its very possible to have just as much riding on each other without being legally married....if you set your relationship up that way(joint bank accounts, beneficiary privileges, power of attorney privileges, etc). most ppl just choose not to until they legally marry

@angylynn22, idk more benefits to being legally married in the long run especially if husband gets in an accident you make the decisions stuff like that

I think there are more benefits however I don't think legal marriage is right in a sense of having kids you should get married

@mommy.to.sterling ig i just dont really see it as something that needs to be done at all. if thats what those two people just want to do then thats cool, but i dont feel that anyone should be made to feel that a legal marriage is the end all be all of what makes a relationship "real"
