I don’t get maternity leave due to not signing up for insurance through my job at the beginning of the year . Which I didn’t because I didn’t need to at the time nor did I know I was pregnant will march . Guess I’m SOL on money now for leave . Anyone have info on possibly getting short term disability. How does this all work ? I’m stressing out . I’m 35 weeks and this baby is coming sooon

Download or do the paperwork online, your doctor will also need to do paperwork, and so will your job. Not as hard as it sounds but takes some time!

@fasciamom, does it have to be after baby is born or could I start now ?

@jmsacilowski, it's supposed to start going through about one month before you're due because it can take about that long to get approved. I went on my leave about 3 weeks before my due date due to a broken pelvis and did it then
