Today I became a single mom again, to my daughter who is my world and to my son who hasn't even seen the world yet.

Am I upset ? Yes. I will always love their father but life has a way of letting the things that are toxic to us go so it can bring in the fresh air.

We love our kids, we even love each other , but that doesn't mean we need to live unhappily. Apart we are happier, our kids will know so much love still and that's what matters.

This is important to remember. I won't shame him because we broke up, I won't shame him because guess what. He's still the father to my children and I will thank him every day for giving me them because that's what being a real parent is about. Stop hating the other parent, stop putting them down. Kids will respect and love you both just as much apart as they did when you were together.
