You can definitely start now. People seem to think discipline means spank, but that isn't the case. It's really just teaching your kid. Plus, you don't want to let them get away with a behavior until they're 2 or 3 because they're going to think what they're doing is okay. I always would grab my daughter's hand when she hit and firmly tell her no, even at 5 months or so. At almost 1, if she still won't listen, you can sit her in a timeout chair for a minute to two minutes max. I just make my daughter go to her room and sit on her bed for a few minutes lol.

@breloya is right. I use her pack and play for time out. I lightly smack her hand and tell her no or that's not nice or I lightly smack her butt and tell her no. There's nothing wrong with discipline at all as long as it's not out of control for their age and "crime"

We have been "disciplining" for a long time. Lol

We started using timeouts last month. Usually it’s us holding him in a corner or against a wall for 30 seconds, but it’s a start! He had started hitting us too when he was told no, so we had to do something. People say babies are too young to understand what they’re doing, but he knows.

I start at 1 and give there little hand a couple of pops with only 1finger tho. Don't use the whole hand. I think they're still too young for all of that
