Can labour just start if your not expecting it too

I’ve been googling if labour can just spontaneously start with no warning. I think I’m losing it

@jobraydendanny mine started with no signs and when I went to hospital to be examined I was already 5cm dilated x

Mine did on Tuesday! Had back ache for a week before but that’s about it...waters simply broke! X
