My son has been having a hard time breathing normally all day. Sounds like he has something in his throat. He’s 20 months and has a fever of 100.7 and isn’t eating or drinking as much as he usually does and took 2 very long naps.... does this sound like we should go to the er or wait it out for the doctors tomorrow? i never know if I’m being to paranoid 🙁

Yes. Anything having to do with trouble breathing is immediate Er visit

No doctors are open tomorrow, its the weekend

Luckily our pediatrician is open weekends, but anything breathing related they either want to see him right away, or have us go to the ER if it’s afterhours. You can always call the oncall nurse or doctor, but if it’s been all day an ER visit is probably a good idea. Even if it turns out nothing, better safe than sorry!
