My friend that I posted about yesterday went in this morning again because of strong contraction 2-5 mins apart and they gave her more meds to stop them. She’s 39 weeks. I haven’t heard anything about it in a couple of hours so I’m hoping her doctor has came in and fixed the issue and is going to let her have that baby. I don’t understand why they keep trying to stop her contractions when she’s so far along with such strong and close contractions and was 4 cm dilated last night. 😩😩😩

@nomli, I haven’t heard from them but I saw that her husband posted a picture late last night of a hospital bed saying “we finally got a bed let’s try this again” so hopefully she’s having or already had the baby and they’ve just been too busy and overwhelmed to communicate
Have you heard anything else? (Geez, I don’t even know this girl and I’m over here worrying.)
@nomli, that’s exactly what I’m afraid of. I wish I could just pick them up and be like I’m taking you to a better hospital 😫
I don't want to make anyone more worried, but I know a girl who the place she went to was incompetent and she lost the baby. Your friend either needs to tell them flat out to stop with the fucking around and let her have this baby, or she needs to leave and go somewhere else. I don't know what would happen if she just walked out without being discharged, but at this point that may be the best thing.
My doctor said that if contractions started at 39 weeks but I wasn't progressing they would do stuff to make it happen quicker. Because my contractions were at 38 weeks they sent me home to wait. And at 4cm they should be like "here comes baby!"
I really hope she sets them straight and gets the help she needs, either from them or from a more competent hospital.
@caseyann19, exactly. They sound like a bunch of dumb fucks.
@caseyann19 😨 that's awful! I hope everything turns out okay for her and the baby!
@vward, I’ve wondered the same thing but I think it’s really just them not wanting to deal with it. They keep telling her they don’t have a bed for her and stuff. Another one of her friends was telling her about when she had her baby there at that same place they did the same thing and something happened to the baby and now she’s 6 and can’t walk or talk or eat or anything. Has seizures. The mom and baby had to be transferred to the nearby trauma hospital minutes after birth and the mom had to have a blood transfusion and all kinds of stuff. I’ve heard terrible stories about that hospital it has a really bad rep for sure
I wonder if there are some kind of other complications we just dont know about? That's the only reason I could see them interfering so late in the game. Otherwise I'd be trying to find a different doctor stat.
@vward, they are livid and I’m so scared for her. I’m terrified they’re gonna keep doing this crap to her and end up hurting either her or the baby
@damn.it.red, as far as I know they still have her at that hospital. Last I heard they had her on the monitor that shows the contractions and stuff but idk what else they’ve done because she hasn’t messaged me back. I really wish she’d just let them send her home and go straight to a different one though. If they’re not doing their job and treating her right during active labor it then what are they gonna do when she’s actually pushing the baby out? 🙄😫
Wow that's crazy that they would stop her labor if she's 39 weeks!! I'd be so mad!
Why doesn’t she just go to another hospital? Like pack a bag go to a big city and go to the hospital and be like hey I was shopping and I think I’ve went into labor.
🤞 That's what happened to my sister....everything happened so fast that they didn't even think to tell us anything.
