Does anyone of you mom's have baby who have Mongolian spot?! And when it's disappeared? That so…

My son was. I freaked when he was born bc I thought it was a bruise.... it is still there now and he is 3.

Both my daughters had one. My oldest, it went away. My youngest still has hers and she’s 2.

My little sister has one from her right buttcheek all the way down her leg to her toes. It shows up when its cold outside or raining

Is it raised at all, how long has it been since you first noticed it? It looks like a deep Hemangioma to me. They form in a bluish gray color some babies are born with them and sometimes they won't develop until weeks or months after birth most eventually do fade away. In some cases it can take years to fade and can still leave a very faint mark. My DD was born with a cherry hemangioma about the size of a dime. It faded completely when she was 2 years old.

@mommiesaremagical14 I noticed her Mongolian spot when shes was maybe week old,and then doctor told me too,that's she's have Mongolian spot,it's bluesh color and pretty big one on her bum bum, not fading the same color now

@momboo my 3 year Olds is right at the top of his crack. It's about the size of thumb print now. It was larger but some of nm it has faded. You can still see some of the faded in bright sunlight.

@pettybetty yeah it's just interesting how this genes working,we will see in future hopefully it's get lighter Because it's still dark bluesh gray color

@mommiesaremagical14 Hemangiomas are typically raised and red/pink in color. This picture looks to show textbook Mongolian spots.

Hemongiomas are vascular. Mongolian spots are caused by pigment issues, not blood vessels.

@tholliswilliams that's rare that you still have yours. I think I read some where that normally they are gone by puberty.

@pettybetty it honestly creeped me out when I first realized what it was . I thought it was a bruise but my doctor told me otherwise 🤷🏾‍♀️ Kinda weird

@tholliswilliams I bet it did. I noticed my son's when I first changed his diaper in the hospital. He was 3 days old the first time I got to..I saw it on his little butt and my first thought was that some one in the nicu had hurt my baby. I was fighting mad!

my brother's mark disappeared when he was 8 or 9, mine was gone much earlier cuz I don't remember😊 now my son has it and I dont want him to have blue butt too😂

Sky still has hers not as dark it’s fading her doc said it can be there up until 18mo or more
