I promise it was much redder yesterday but I had so much going on that I didn't go to take a pic. Monday they drew blood at the docs at it hurt like crazy. I've given blood and had it hurt less. I don't bruise easily and that's probably why it didn't but really? And they poked me in the nice blue vein that you can see

Last time I got my blood drawn, the nurse couldn't find a vein except for a deep on in my elbow (which is bullshit because I could find one just fine). When she said that I asked for my normal nurse to do it instead but she said no because he was doing check ins that day. I rolled my eyes and she literally jabbed the needle into my arm and missed and had to wiggle the needle to find the vein. I was pissed and was bruised for a week and half after.

@laurenray93, ouch. That was the weird part though, he got it right away and from the moment he stuck it hurt

@emilygubbels.andersen I hate that though, there's a way to do it so no one ends up hurt. I've had my blood drawn 2-3x a year since I was 5 and I've seen my fair share of good and bad phlebotomists. Actually, the guy that did my 3 hr glucose draws was probably the best I've had. He stuck me 4x in the same arm, same area, and I didn't bruise except at the pinpoint (which is normal for me).

@laurenray93, do you have problems getting stuck then. I've seldom have had them had to dig or try again

@emilygubbels.andersen no I don't. The 3 hr glucose test they had to do a fast draw and then draw every hour for the next 3 hrs, so in total I had to be stuck 4x that day.

@laurenray93, that makes more since. I'm still early and learning all the different tests
