Almost every time my baby eats, he spits up. A LOT.

It’s changed from a liquid consistency to a thick mucus. Why??

My son did the same thing for a while and his doctor said it was reflux. He recommended keeping him upright for about 30 minutes after he ate. He’s a lot better now but I was worried because like you said, it was a lot of spit up.

It could be possible that if you have dairy in your diet it could be affecting him.

Try cutting some dairy, burp often, sit him up after feeding and see if that helps. If not, you could bring it up to the doctor. Spitting up can be pretty normal though too.

@kailey.gallentine, oh okay thank you. Yeah I even can hear and feel his belly make crazy noises. He isn’t crying or anything though during that

My daughter had the same problem. It could be a numerous amount of reasons. Her doctor said it was because her abdomen muscles haven't fully developed so they jut aren't capable of keeping it down. Even if it's 1oz or 6ozs. They usually don't start to fully keep it down around 6ish months or until they can completely sit up on their own unassisted. It could also be acid reflux or a slough of things. Ask your doctor and hopefully they can help
