So today I was put on the fetal monitor because I mentioned that little guys movements have slowed. My doctor said anytime anyone mentions a decline in movement that it’s procedure to do fetal monitoring, which I completely understand. I know it’s to prevent still birth. He spent a while talking about it and said that even though it’s normal for the baby to slow down a bit at this stage, we also don’t want to miss something life threatening. He suggested putting me on fetal monitoring 2x a week. I had to do this with my last pregnancy because she was so tiny. He said he’s not concerned because my baby is perfectly healthy and growing normally so it was up to me. I declined. I told him I would do my kick counts for the next two weeks and if anything seemed off I would call immediately.

It’s definitely better to be safe than sorry but I’ve been laying here for the last hour doing a count and I can definitely say this kid is doing great! As long as my glucose test comes back normal I think this will be my first non-high risk pregnancy 🤰🏼
