How do you help with constipation of a 10.5 month old baby when they are drinking a formula and whole milk mixture for feedings

@tashamagolan good luck! The suggestion actually came straight from my pediatrician! I was so pleased with what an easy fix it was and she loved the baby food Prunes.
@mct might try that in the morning when I get home from work. My 1st never had any issues with constipation when we switched to a formula milk mixture since we used a different brand
Yeah anytime her poop was harder we did Prunes. It really does work wonder. You should give it a try. If you use them every three days it makes a huge difference. Our daughter even slept better.
@blessedw82017 that's what I'm currently using and her poop is still getting stuck since it's starting to get more solid since we started the mixture. How long does it usually take to work
@mct she poops a little almost every diaper change but is having a hard time getting it out since it's not as watery
@gritsrr waiting for wic to reload on first otherwise I'd have to pay 18 dollars for a can thst only lasts her for 1.5 days. She drinks 9oz st every feeding, doesn't eat baby food much because she doesn't like it
My daughter struggled with constipation on breastmilk. I just bought the baby food Prunes and fed a container to her every time we went 2-3 days without a bm. It worked like a charm and was a cheap fix.
@tashamagolan Knudsen also has pear juice. You can find it at Wal-Mart. Give her a tiny bit mixed with her formula or an ounce by itself.
I have some constipation medicine for her that helps a little. The constipation only happens when I give her the formula for 9 months and up. It never happened when I gave her the one for birth to 12 months or the 6 to 12 months formula
It wasn't just my baby all the preemies in my preemie group on Facebook were constipated when just drinking plain whole milk and the mixture. It's an issue that affects preemies
