My boys both started pulling off their diaper at a year old. You would think it’s a sign to start going potty but I found out the hard way it’s just them discovering that their diaper is removable and they can take it off on their own now lol. My 2 year old will pee in the potty when I catch him getting ready to pee but for the most part he isn’t fully ready yet. Its still a good idea to introduce them to the toilet and start getting in their heads that’s where they poop and pee.

Girls are easier than boys. My husband was potty trained as a kid by 20 months. My son hides to poop and is also pulling on his diaper if he doesn’t have shorts or pants on. (My son is almost 16 months) we have a potty and tried training last month. It was a FAIL 🤣🤣 we will try again at 18 months but I won’t hold my breath haha potty trained by 2 is really good for a boy 👍🏻😁

I started with my daughter after her first bday . She was trained by 1 1/2 . We still used pull-ups for long car right and at night for accidents of course . But she did really well . I started by sitting her on the potty while I went she loved it .

I dont have a answer to your question but i just bought a potty for my daughter and i sit her on it on the mornings (10min) and after she eats..not sure of she gets the concept but it couldnt hurt i guess. Idk how to potty train boys i assume you sit them on the toilet until they learn it standing up lol

@skysmommy04 hes been taking it off. If he has one pee, he tries to take it off, so, im sure hes ready.

Does your baby seem at all bothered by the diaper ?

@inkedmommasic, I'm not sure lol I mean my daughter has shown signs that she may be ready but I haven't gotten a potty and she's so tiny I have to hold her on the toilet and then edging squatting isn't ideal for me right now but she has done it
