Extreme itching all over body, mostly abdomen. Nothing I'm doing is helping. I've tried benadryl, cold shower, rewashing everything i come in contact with, lotion, making sure I dry off really good after shower. Nothing is helping thoughts? I thought stretching but it's getting to the point where it's everyday and getting worse to where I want to rip my skin off

@dianne1211, call again and be persistent! The tests take a few days to come back. The sooner you figure out your results the quicker you can get the medicine to make your itching feel better. also, to monitor baby and make sure she/he is doing well.

@mumstasin the symptoms sound like exactly what I'm going through. I called the office yesterday but my Dr and his nurse were gone. They are supposed to call me this morning when they open. I have slept maybe an hour if that. I'm miserable and just want this itching to stop

Could be PUPPPS: Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy (PUPPP), known in United Kingdom as polymorphic eruption of pregnancy (PEP),[1] is a chronic hives-like rash that strikes some women during pregnancy. Although extremely annoying for its sufferers (because of the itch), it presents no long-term risk for either the mother or unborn child. PUPPP frequently begins on the abdomen and spreads to the legs, feet, arms, chest, and neck.

I had it with my daughter. Was told it typically happens with the 1st pregnancy, 3rd trimester and with a girl. I was the worst case my doctor had ever seen had to be put on prednisone the last 2 weeks of pregnancy and they planned to induce. My daughter had other ideas and came early.

@orionsmomma, call your doctor right away to run tests for cholestasis. The problem with untreated cholestasis is still born. I had it my first pregnancy, and it's awful. It gets worse and worse everyday. Specially at night

I have the same problem and gets really worse after I shower I had it before, during and after the pregnancy I have tried Benadryl and tons of different kinds of lotion and nothing seems to work, there are days where is really bad and some where is not too bad, I have talked to my doctor and they don't have any explanation or nothing they can think of and right now I'm on a waiting list to see a dermatologist. I Know how you feel and there's nothing to relieve just try to keep your skin with alot of lotion and keep taking Benadryl at least so it could help you relax a little and sleep and try not to get in contact with water too much that makes it worse.

@mumstasin, didn’t you post something about this the other day? Maybe you can give her advise?
