I went 42 weeks and was vaginal birth. Really depends on how your body handles labor. They said my baby would be 9lb and he was 7 so never know. It is all an estimate

Hmm I mean they will give you stuff to dialate you. My only concern will be how big baby is. But I've been told my son (previous pregnancy) was 8 lbs and he barely hit 6 pounds. So I mean you may be able to have a vaginal birth just fine then again you may have a c section if baby is to big for your body. It's 50/50 I'd say. It's all going to be how well your body handles everything.

@beebaby, see I wanted to wait at least till 41 weeks but for some reason my doctor says he only waits 3 days after the due date before inducing, not sure why. I'm just hoping the baby is smaller than expected so I don't have to go through that

It is your birth experience. If you want to wait then wait.

I went in 39 weeks 4 days wasn't dilated and only dilated like 1-2 cm and they sent me home in labor awful contractions! I went back a couple hours later still barely dilated but I walked jumped on a ball, squatted until I no longer could And slowly but surely dilated enough for them to admit me and then I got an epidural and they gave me pitocin to speed up the process and after 24 hrs of labor I had my son 8lbs 6.7oz I pushed him out in legit 5 mins and I only needed a couple stitches. You should be fine! Don't make them tell you you need a c section unless you have too. My doctor never said anything about a csection.

I was induced with my 1st 2 pregnancies. My daughter vaginal delivery she was 8 lb 5 oz at 41 1/2 weeks . With my son my 2nd they thought he would be around 8 lb from the ultrasound and he was 10 lb 15 oz I pushed for 3 hours was induced didn't work for 2 days then they had to give me a csection because he didn't fit then they saw why lol. So every pregnancy/baby is different. This pregnancy I'm having a csection. At 30 weeks they're going to tell me the day I'll have it at 39 weeks. Unless this one wants to come on his own
