Do Braxton Hicks feel like cramping? I’m having a lot of cramping right now 😩 this is my first so I have no clue what contractions feel like, real or fake

When you get Braxton Hicks your stomach contracts and gets tight. They aren’t supposed to hurt at first, they just get uncomfortable.. if you are having pain with them and they become regular, you might want to give your doctor a call

It could also be ligament pains. When your baby grows your stomach does as well which could feel like cramping almost.

@pkatsie, yeah these aren’t painful, they are just annoying and uncomfortable.. I have an appointment on Thursday so I’m going to bring it up with her just to feel better about it

@jessicalynn3 it definitely isn't hun. Mine were pretty painful. Especially in the begining of this pregnancy.

My nurse in the Fetal Monitoring Unit told me the trick to know whether it's a contraction (Braxton Hicks or otherwise) is to feel the top of your uterus and if it's hard then it's a contraction but if you can press down it's a cramp or baby.
