Moms who have breastfed and formula fed. Is there really a different bond? No judgement just asking.

I was only able to breastfeed for 2 weeks. So when I switched her, we still did skin to skin and still cuddled so for me no, the bond was still the same. With my oldest I wasn’t able to breast feed at all and our bond was the same.

I breast fed for a little while but the latching wasn't going so good so I ending up just exclusively pumping and feeding the breast milk in the bottle. Both we're the same bond for me because I was just happy he was eating good and the cuddles all the same. Just when I bottle fed my nipples we'rent in pain lol. Bottle or boob you're still bonding and giving your baby what they need.

@ameliask @kkmamax2 if only my mom could understand this. She thinks its horrible I'm just pumping and doing formula, without her breastfeeding. But at least im feeding my child and i do try to give her mostly breast milk when i pump. Formula is mostly at night when im too tired to pump, cuz im up mostly with her. Lol@momofacoolchick

I pumped and formula fed and now she is only fed formula and she can't leave my side our bond is really strong

@juliaschade41 I learned somebody always got something to say about everything lol. My mother in law thought it wasn't good either but honestly pumping is a lot more exhausting and time consuming than just the boob. If I could of did the boob I would of. But the best solution was pumping and formula. So do what's best for you and your baby. Regardless that baby has food. Once your a mom just nobody else's opinions shouldn't matter. You know what's best.

@juliaschade41 yea they'll always have something to say I was told by my parentd I put my child to the breast too much & I need to introduce bottles at home......yea that'll never happen. Lol

@juliaschade41, is this her first grand baby? My mother in law was like this. I was the worlds worst mother cause I couldn’t breastfeed longer. But feed is best no matter how you do it! And I have to say, for doing it by yourself, you are doing a great job! 😘

My milk never came in so we went with some pumping and formula after the first week. So did my stepsister, but she had no breastmilk at all. Those late night bottle sessions, cuddling on the couch, eye contact all still happened with a bottle. I feel like there is still that bond. He still comes to me to cuddle and give random hugs, still sits on my lap when he’s eating or drinking. He’s such a little whirlwind though, that I don’t think he’d always sit still to breastfeed even if we had done it.
