Sitting at the breakfast bar, drinking my coffee, sorting out finances, bills, etc...I feel so stressed. Drained. David stresses and worries about everything 10x more than I do, so once I've finally got some peace of mind, he gets me all worked up again.

We took off 3 days earlier this month so we could move, and our paychecks definitely took a hit. Which actually kind of sucked because we have rent for this month coming up, last month's rent at the old house, bills from the old house, renters insurance, credit card bills, and that stupid gym membership I haven't been able to pay off all due before the 5th. We get paid again on the 6th. After everything plus grocery shopping, we'll have $150 for the next 10 days. $150 for gas or any other various expenses I can't think of at this exact moment. 😩

Still, I feel a little hopeful. I'm hoping by next paycheck, we'll be caught up. We get our commission checks from August (which we both did well), David got a $2 raise, and the only bills that will be due will be electric for the new place and Target. We might be able to actually breathe.

I'm thankful, though, honestly. We have a new home. Sure, Isabelle hates her new room and I think a family of squirrels has found its way into the walls, but it's our own. We got away from renting from his cheapskate dad. We got away from the halfway house across the street and the heathens who burned down our shed. We got away from Hank Hill next door, who mowed his grass 3x a day and the creepy lady with one ear who was convinced that half of our house was on her property.

It's cozy. It's mostly quiet. Our countertops are gorgeous. Both showers have hot water. Our dishwasher doesn't sound like a helicopter taking off. It's home. And I'm thankful. And currently typing this to procrastinate from grocery shopping.
