Is it okay or “just being a kid” if a 6 year old is running around always being disrespectful and a smart mouth also acting like she’s a 3 year old always wanting to get her way?

And is it wrong if somebody that is NOT the parent always has to say something about it but the parent decides to get mad and calls that being mean to the child and makes excuses for their behavior?

i dont think it's okay for a kid to do that. yes, kids should be allowed to run around and be kids, but there are certain ways you teach your kid when the time is appropriate to do so. being disrespectful and smart mouthing should never be acceptable because kids should be taught at a young age to be respectful and have manners. i feel like if you dont teach your kid young, then the bad habit grows with them, along with their stubborness. ive worked in retail and i saw how moms just let their kid run around the store making a mess and screaming and the mom not even paying attention. i told myself i would never let my kid be chaotic like that in public.

Personally, I don't judge someone else's kid's behavior. There must be a reason why the child is acting that way, sometimes is a neurological condition that the parent does even know about. And you can't control that even if you know it. If you can prove that everything is physically ok with the kid ok. But what's the kid seeing at home? Daycare? What's he going thru? So that's why us as moms should try to do our best to teach them how to behave and be respectful. But sometimes is hard.

@hallek129, @chunkymonkies24, this 6 year old is my little sister and to be honest my mom AND her dad let her do whatever she wants to do. Her days literally consist of playing, twerking/watching twerk videos, and playing on phones. She barely wants to eat, take showers, get her head combed, change clothes everyday, doesn’t know how to read or write, doesn’t know her abcs or how to count to even 5, not in school (she doesn’t even want to be either) AND didn’t know how to wipe her butt. I’ve tried countless of times to help with her and guide her in the right direction but it’s hard and frustrating now because she don’t wanna do nothing but what she wants to do and it’s my moms and her dads job honestly to help her out but they don’t do shit but make it worse and allow it and it’s getting stressful for me because I have my own 3 year old who’s in school picking up her bad habits (we stay with them) and my family seems to not have a problem with any of it especially my grandma but it really hurts my feelings when my grandma talks about my parenting or calling me a bad mom because I let my son eat apples without cutting them up sometimes (she literally does this) and I’ve been called so many sorry excuses of a mother for actually doing right by my son. I’m only 20 but I think I’m doing a pretty damn good job for my age and overall they are all just stressing me tf out so bad I’m depressed and I shouldn’t be this depressed especially while pregnant

Just try to relax, so it doesn't affect your unborn baby. I understand your position but is your parents responsibility to look out for her. She is definitely not showing a normal behavior for her age. I hope everything is fine with her and it's just a phase but if you are really concerned try to talk to your mom and show her a different point of view. That there might be something behind.
