Hi guys!! New member here 😊 looking for some advice or words of wisdom (I'll take anything at this point lol) I have 22 month old boy/girl twins. They have been awesome sleepers since day 1, no problems with napping, bedtime, etc..pretty much smooth sailing..up until about 2 months ago when my son decided to start crawling out of the crib, mostly at nap time. Well it got to the point where he was crawling out all the time, getting into things in the room, getting into his sister's crib, keeping her awake, etc. We lowered the mattresses to basically the floor, but he was wrapping his feet around the bars and just crawling up and over the top and lowering himself out. We just couldn't take it anymore, so I finally broke down and got them toddler beds about 3 weeks ago. Removed EVERYTHING from the room including toys. Baby proofed drawers, door knobs, etc. First week wasn't so bad. Took them a while to fall asleep, but overall not as bad as I thought it would be cause to be honest, I was dreading this transition. Well all of a sudden, I would say last week, they have done like a complete 180. They went from napping noon-330ish and bedtime from 730pm-830am..and now they are not napping and wake up earlier than they did before (heard them running around room at 6am the other day) I'm not as concerned with the bedtime hours as I am with the nap time. I feel being up for almost 13 hours at their age with no nap is not good? I see a difference with them when they don't get some kind of nap during the day? Are they just going through a phase?? I don't know what's going on? This week has just been HORRIBLE for me and my husband. You know it's bad when my husband who out of the 2 of us is the most calm in stressful situations, literally leaves our house when I came home last night as soon as I pulled in the driveway. He said he felt like the walls were closing in and just needs to go for a drive. Any advice or suggestions please!! This momma is drained 😔

Oh no I'm so sorry, if they are waking up earlier and not napping then yes, they are not getting enough sleep :( I know you switched to a toddler bed, but my friend swore by a tent topper for her crib to keep her son in for sleeping... it's a mesh see through top. I know it would be going backwards, but maybe it's too soon?? I'm so sorry, I wish I had more ideas but sending you a big hug 😩

I considered those tent toppers but when I seen they were the price of toddler beds, I said the hell with that..i know..i probably should have just bought them..but we already got rid of the cribs 😕

How about changing their routines. Like taking them to the park and getting them exhausted so they're tired enough to nap. Some type of physical activity to help them nap better. They may have more energy now.
