Your in-law tells your baby:
"What happened to you today? You look like your mommy, are you hanging out too much with her?"
How would you take it?
@yashira.catalan I think as your child's mother you could make a decision to keep your child away from toxic people like that. I've had a pretty damn rough life too but I don't go around treating people like shit
@meetthevalentines2017 Yeah, unfortunately. He's very manipulative and emotionally abusive and everyone ignores but my boyfriend and whenever I have a problem with his behavior my boyfriend will try to justify it with "he's had a rough life" or "he's sick".
@yashira.catalan is it like the dad's dad? People like that drive me nuts. I'm sorry/:
@meetthevalentines2017 Yeah, it gets me angry because I don't want my baby to grow up thinking that looking like me is a bad thing. I'm his mom, of course he's going to look like me. I'm dark skinned and he had such a relieve when he saw that my baby had light skin. A lot of issues with him from the beginning of pregnancy, I wish I could take my baby away from him.
@meetthevalentines2017 @skysmommy04
I took it as a rude comment to make. He acted the same way when he saw the 3D ultrasound pictures. He was like "oh, he looks like you" and then left. Like is it that bad that MY baby looks like me. What did he expect?
@meetthevalentines2017 I try to keep my distance with him. And, yeah, that's exactly what I mean, having it rough doesn't give people a pass to treat others like shit.
