How old does your baby have to be so start sitting in a big girl car seat !?

If you're talking about forward facing then it's a year and over 21lbs.

You can buy her a convertible car seat whenever. My daughter never had an infant car seat. Just rear face until at least 2 :)

I thought it had to do with their height

@ashtonndamon, most convertible car seats can fit babies bigger than 5 pounds. It depends on each individual seat. We never used an "infant/bucket" seat

@roxanapando122, convertible car seats can recline. Let me add a picture of my daughter. Her seat had two recline positions for rearfacing

@ashleydunn, yes please cause I barely bought one but Idk if she's able to sit on it yet she hates her car seat the infant one she's always pushing her head up so she can sit down

Car seat laws depends on your state and weight - height requirement. Check them up. Also I had two car seats for my daughter one carry on and the other is the 4 in 1 convertible car seat. If you want to keep your child rear facing for a longer time graco has one that extends the period of time for it.

Make sure to read manual throughly for it. Ive used this seat with my oldest.

They should be rear facing in a convertible like what you posted until 2yrs old at least

I switched my son over when he was 1 year old and weighed 25lbs. He faces forward though and has since he turned one. The requirements in Wisconsin is over a year old and 20lbs to forward face.

In pa your child must be rear facing until 2 years old. Any convertible carseat that rear faces can be used as long as your child fits and height and weight requirements set by the seat. It is a bad idea to turn your child before the age of two because their bones have still yet to fully form together, especially their pelvis. The infant carseat can be ditched whenever you buy a bigger seat as long as she fits the requirements. Most start at 5 pounds anyway.

@roxanapando122, yes she can sit in the one you posted, just rearfacing. I suggest reading the manual :) Straps go below or at shoulder level when rearfacing :). All states its illegal to forward face before a year period 🙅🏼. But as someone else stated it's safer until at least two when their bones are more fused

Depends on the state law where u live. It's 2 yrs or 35 pounds in Ohio
