QUESTION:: I won't be breast feeding for at least a week due to severe nipple pain.... But how do I maintain my milk supply AND keep them from being sore?

You can pump it or if you don't feed for a certain amount of time you might just dry up. I breastfed for only 3 weeks with my son and completely dried up. Then started him on formula.

@jonniep2012 @melody_momof5 my nipples are really raw, they've formed a scab because they're healing I'm afraid if I pump I'll break the seal, you know like if you have a scab and you pick at it then it starts bleeding again.... That's what I don't want @chelli Never heard of gel pads I'll certainly look into it

@melody_momof5 YOU'RE BAD ASS!! LOL kudos to you because once I seen the blood and lack of flesh I'm just like no I gotta stop. Not completely tho, just until the skin heals and I can feed her without crying SMH lol but I'm gonna get so gel pads hopefully they work

Oh I went through the pain too lol it was horrible. I felt literally like his mouth was sandpaper destroying my nipple.
