Hospital will have most of what You need for baby except outfits. Mittens. And socks. I packed 3 outfits. A couple of newborn and one 0 to 3. Just in case.
So far in mine I have toothpaste and floss. I'm going to make travel size bottles of toiletries. I need PJs for me and they suggest clothes that are easy to breast feed, if you're going to do that. Slippers, flip flops for the shower... Hmmm I have a bunch of lists. I'll post them. The thing is, if you're close to home, less is more. Pack the necessities but don't stress because you can always tell your SO or whoever your support person is to get you something.
