I'm starting to get annoyed with my boyfriend's mom yet again. I told her that I'm getting matching pajamas for myself, the baby and my boyfriend for Christmas this year and she STILL went and bought the baby separate pajamas. When I told her I'm buying the matching set she says "well he can still wear them instead" like NO. She does alot for us but constantly tries to go over my head when I say I wanna do things a certain way. She seems to forget I'm the mother and she's just the grandmother. Then she wonders why I don't take her up on her offers to babysit, cause she doesn't listen to me! She still insists I feed him half formula half breastmilk when I told her no, strictly breastmilk. Thennnnn, she's always saying to let him watch as much TV as possible so he won't fuss. She's doing too much...

In-laws are like that. It's annoying. They always want to go over you and then wonder why they can't babysit our children. I feel like if they can't respect my decisions regarding my son, they won't ever babysit them. And, in my case, whenever I say something I'm being "disrespectful", "rude", or "ridiculous".
The emotional abuse and stress you get from them is insane and it always gets justified by "they just want to help". No it's invasive and disrespectful to try to make decisions regarding our children after we already decided on something.
You're the mom and you call the shots, simple as that, he can wear her pajamas any other time. She needs to understand that. Like you said, she's just the grandmother.

Exactly, it's like I'm always telling her the same things over and over. She had nerve to stress me out my entire pregnancy and pick arguments then says " that's why he looks just like me," smh. He looks similar only cause her son looks like her 😐

@believeinbuddha she's swearing by Baby Einstein saying it'll be good for him, I told her I read to him everyday and educate him my way and that's all he needs right now.
