So disappointed in myself I could cry. My breast started to become raw from breastfeeding and somehow they only got worse. So we decided to pump instead of putting her directly on my breast because it hurt Sooooo bad. But her appetite is so huge I still end up pumping vigorously....now they're so bad that when I pump there's blood in the milk..... We've decided to formula feed for 2-3 days to allow my breast to fully heal but I really didn't want to do that. I wanted to exclusively breastfeed and when she cries from hunger I feel like a shitty mom, I should be able to do this. I didn't wanna give her no man made bullshit that I don't even know what's actually in it. I feel useless

When mine was hurting in the beginning i have formula to give my nipples a break. I didn't pump cause it hurt but i hand expressed. Waaay better for me

You can also try nipple shield express milk by hand after applying warm compress lactation cream and becarful when washing soap can lead to drying out the nipple making them crack when nursing you dont have to do formula

@chelli she HATES the nipple shield.... I'm gonna try everything else for the next couple of days in order to heal I just feel bad. Maybe I thought this would be easier

They have thin and silicone I know breastfeeding not easy but the benefits in the end make it worth it I hope you find some relief I had a split nipple with my son it hurt like a mf and I didn't know about any ways to get relief smh

I went through the same thing but I refused to give in and use formula so I just fought through the pain. Pumping made it worse for me but my mother in law sent me some nipple butter and it healed in a week, now we are 1 year strong breastfeeding

@beebaby yea they told me to use the nipple shield but my baby doesn't like it so I took it off, which made it worse. Now both nipples are damn near skinless SMH

@tinkerbe11 yea I was trying to fight threw the pain as well but my nipples are damn near skinless, I can't take it. But I will certainly try the nipple butter.... Do you know where I can find it??
