What the difference between an ear infection,and tugging on the ear out of pain while teething??

If anyone reply please let me know :( cause my son sometimes does that

If I can't have answers before his appt

My son would tug on his ear when he was tired I was so worried it was a ear infection because he did it so often but the dr said he was fine

Still better to get him checked to ease your mind though

Most of the time there will be a fever with an ear infection. Sometimes some discharge, but normally a fever will show up first. Has he had a cold, or runny nose? My oldest used to get an ear infection every single time he get even the slightest little cold.
