Having crappy start to my week my car is having problems i was just told by a mechanic that my car needs a new fuel pump the part itself is almost $300 not including the labor for the guy to put the part in smh ugh !

If you have the time shop around cause 95% of that quoted price is labor

My boyfriend works on cars and what he would do is order the parts from rockauto.com , (good parts for good price)and then he'd put it in himself. If you know someone (family, friend) who works on cars you should ask them if they can do it for you, that you'll just pay the part and pay them for their work. Hopefully they wouldn't charge you as much as a shop would
