@taylorsmommy10817, I would definitely tell the doctor. That's how I started, and it eventually got worse the more pregnant I got! My feet and legs itches sooo bad I started eventually bleeding from how hard a scratched.

@taylorsmommy10817, just go ahead and let your doctor know you have experienced intense itching and would like to make sure you don't have cholestasis. It can start anytime you enter your third trimester. And the issue is basically it stresses the baby and they poop in the placenta and that's what can cause complications. I've read horror stories of baby's being born still born, because the moms and doctors both lacked awareness. It's fairly new. I remember going to the hospital several times last year for this, and no one was aware of what it could be. They old me it was "normal" but my gut told me other wise. And I fought the whole time until a kind midwife tested me and induced me the same day the results came in.

thats what i had and i didnt know it was a problem until my dr asked at my pre op appt if ive been itching or had rashes. i was trying for a vbac bt had to have a c section immediatly. after surgery the itching got worse and a few days later i felt so much better. still upset i didnt get to try a vbac bt good thing me and baby are ok

Exact thing happened to me. People who were already mom's kept telling me it was because my skin was stretching and swollen but my gut told me otherwise. So I had to get medication for it and be monitored weekly. I will never forget that itching. It was the most horrible thing ever.
