We have all different kinds too and my son doesn't really like any of them. He will only use a soft spout but most of them he just chews on...im at a loss.. lol
My daughter never used a sippy. She would just chew on them so we skipped to a hard straw cup. We taught her using the take and toss ones. There's videos on YouTube that show how they introduce them.
