Should i start thinking about a breast pump or is it too early?

To early I tried to get mines and they said they give it after baby is born.. I love having everything and being prepared but that's what I was told

Usually wait 6 weeks for milk to regulate after baby gets here. Unless a medical reason to pump.

@raisingabi im not waiting 6 weeks thats crazy im having a winter baby she will ne in the house except for her appointments until probably spring so ill need it sooner so she can still eat if i run to store or something

@sweetpea6 I was just telling you lol. That's when they recommend it. Your milk is regulated by babies needs. 😂

My doc ordered mine around 26 weeks. So if your insurance covers it, I'd talk to your doc about sending in the script.

My insurance wouldn't let me order it until 36 weeks, and then they tried to charge me for it (a year later!!!) because their records showed I didn't have a baby. Cause all the OB appointments weren't a giveaway that I was pregnant....idiot insurance company. We had to resubmit the claim.

They order mine while I'm in the hospital and it's at my house the day I get out of the hospital.

@sweetpea6 I believe it was a nurse or lactation consultant. Just ask when you go about it and they will get you the person you gotta talk to.

@sweetpea6 your Dr just has to write a script and the hospital will call em up and have them send it to your house. Some eeven work with hospitals and you'll be able to take it home with you from the hospital. All depends on who their providers are.
