Anyone taking/have taken medications for depression/anxiety while pregnant? I was on Celexa and stopped taking it once I found out I was pregnant, my Dr told me I can take it and told me it was up to me to decide when I wanted to start up again.. I have been doing really good up until this past week, I'm crying over small things, becoming super irritable with my family.. I can tell it's my depression and not my hormones from pregnancy. Any stories or advice would be great!

I would continue to take it if I was you. I continued to take my serequel which is a powerful anti psychotic. And my baby is fine. If your doctor said it was ok then keep taking it. It won't hurt your baby at all

I took Zoloft when I was pregnant with my 2nd. It helped a lot!

I take 10 mg cipralex for my depression and anxiety my doc prescribed it to me and it has done wonders for me :) I get the concerns and risks but there are always risks and side effects when taking any medication. You should do whats best for you. :)

I am on celexa (citalopram) now but was thinking of stopping it maybe closer to delivery

@lesleyandjustinsimpson, what's your reason for wanting to get off it? I was thinking of going on it closer to delivery in case postpartum depression hits me bad

@jessicalynn3, they pharmacist told me if I got off of it close to delivery it would less likely be in her system when she was out. But I will keep taking it if I absolutely need it
