I tested positive and I was super scared but my doctor assured me everything would be ok. When I went into labor they hooked me up to penicillin and I had baby girl. Everything was perfect so don't freak out if you are but I think you'll be fine

Ugh I wanted to cry I actually almost missed the cut off for the testing and I couldnt deal with the pressure it hurt alot but it was a negative.

@muvamia, do they use the speculum?

@linda661231, but like she said, even if its positive its still ok, some people are just a carrier, & doctors like to know so they can take all precautions when you go into labor. Good luck ❣️

They don't even have to swab inside anything. Just around. I tested positive and I just had to be hooked to an IV every 4 hours during labor. I don't know how hospitals do it but they would just hook the IV into the machine for 20 minutes then un hook it and I was free to roam the whole house as I wanted

I have to have this done as well. If I test positive and when I do go into labor do they have other medicine for the IV?? Because I'm deathly allergic to penicillin, anything that is in that category 😖😖 My throat closes up.

Do everyone dr test them for this? I'm asking because I seen a post more than once about it and my dr haven't tested me or said anything about it

I have it scheduled for this upcoming week but tested negative with my son when I had it done so hopefully nothing's changed.

It was easy. I just just don't like being touched down there due to PTSD. Mine came up that I have it. All I have to do is have antibiotics through IV when I have my son.
