@baileyy well my bfs Aunt is a nurse from Mexico and they actually do it in the hospital as soon as they're born if the mother request it there. She says it's better when they're small since it's still soft and not thick yet.. but I'm glad it was quick and painless for her.
@6plus1pettybetty that's why my mom pierced my ears so early bc she could swaddle me and not give me the ability to touch them vs when I was a toddler and would probably constantly touch them or pull them.

In my opinion is also less likely to get infected because they don't have the ability to reach up and touch them.
