September 27th is slowly creeping around the corner!! I cannot wait to finally meet my little man.... Praying i do not have to be induced. Have any of you been induced? Is it better or worse than letting the baby naturally come on their own? My mom made it sound horrible and scary:/ I want to go as natural as possible. Next time i will be more prepared and will opt for a doula and water birth. Wish i would have chosen those things for this birth but i literally knew nothing about pregnancy!

On a positive note i think i have finally settled on a name! :)

I also attended the Womens Health Conference and got to meet Glennon Melton the authour of The Love Warrior, if you havent not read it i strongly reccomend it to any woman who has struggled with addiction, mental health, unhealthy relationships, eating disorders, or unplanned pregnancy. She has been on the Today Show and multiple other popular outlets and she is SO AMAZING!! She adovactes for all women to be the best they can be and her memoir definitley put tears in my eyes a few times because of how much i could relate; i was sobering up and had just found out i was pregnant and knew the father would not be a part of my life or my childs. Deeply moving! 10\10 reccomend :)

Birth Plan Rant I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?

My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her own when she is ready to come ! As much as I am anxious to meet her and have her home with me, those last few weeks of brain development and lung maturation means so much more to me! I'm hoping and praying that things turn around, and I don't have to get induced. I'm surely going to talk to my doctor about it Thursday when I go back.
