Why is finding great childcare so difficult?! Our current nanny we use part time. It was working out great until she started looking for a second family part time to piece together with us. Now all of a sudden she wants to charge us $17 an hour or she can't stay on. We pay her $15hr. which I felt was already on the high end for a 5 month old. I'm curious to what all you other mamas are paying an hour? Also where did you find child care?

1200 for the baby, 800 for my 3 year old and 200 for my son in latch key. 40 for the newborn and 3 year old. My oldest was 10 hours

@eryka616, I'm thinking $10-$12 is the average rate for one child? So to be paying her $15 is more than fair. $17hr seems ridiculous to me for the amount of work for a 5 month old. Our baby is super easy and always happy.

That's quite a bit I only charge $10-$12 an hour depending on the kid and distance from my house
