At the hospital they use Swaddle Blankets, but when I got home from the hospital with my newborn son I didn't use no Swaddle Blankets even though the hospital give me one to take home, but I really didn't use it. That was 3month ago.
I used the swaddled that zip up and have the Velcro flaps for the baby's arms. They were a lifesaver! I will absolutely be using them again and I buy them as shower gifts. They helped reduce the flailing response and were a saving grace from my daughter's colic symptoms. BEST. PURCHASE. EVER!!!! And super cute. 😁
I tried swaddling w a receiving blanket, but my daughter ALWAYS got her arms out and then the blanket would come undone. Once she was able to get her arms out of the swaddled w Velcro flaps it was bc she had grown out of needing to be swaddled.
I love this swaddle blanket Something that's fast and easy for me to do while having a toddler running around. I am probably going to buy more of these since my son loves to be swaddle as well

I used the ones that Velcro and the one that zipped and he always escaped them and just flat out hated them after a while so I perfected the old fashioned blanket swaddle. He loved it. Did that till he was around 5 months and started rolling
We used the Anais and Aden swaddle blankets. I just got some for this baby as well. They are pricey but you can usually find them at stores like Ross or Marshalls cheaper. We love the thin material and since they are extra long, they get extra long usage lol. My daughter is two now and still uses hers to cover herself with. The size also let's them be used as other things.
We bought a few Velcro swaddles with my first and hated them. The Velcro was too loud and would wake her up. Also they were never snug enough for her.
I swaddled my son in any receiving blanket. I kinda liked the Muslim swaddlers they're easier to wrap but my son really didn't like being swaddled he would always find a way to get his arms out of it and he'd kick it off lol.
I loved Aden & Anis. My son carries his around constantly & chews on it when teething
Aden and Anais and Also Margaux and Mae. First of all the patterns are adorable and the fabric is super soft and breathable. Both my babies loved them. Once they outgrew swaddling, we used the magic Merlin sleep suit. They also loved that because it was warm, snug and cozy. It also allows their arms and legs to be free. So, it was a win-win all around! Will be using all of these methods again with my newborn in December 😊
I used the velcro ones you get at babis R Us. I used those until about 2 months and now he doesnt like to be swaddled. I liked them because The fabric was warm and he slept good like that. I also liked the little monster patterns and that it was easy to do.
The ones that I had are the same as the hospital blankets.

My husband could make the best dang swaddle. He swaddled our baby so tight and snug that the nurses at the hospital asked him how he did it. All that aside -- the SwaddleMe swaddles from Target were the ones we used and baby would not sleep without her super snug daddy swaddle. I often think that's why some women find their babies don't like being swaddled -- they may not be swaddled tight enough. If it's a loose swaddle the baby will move around enough to get loose and uncomfortable. EDIT: I SAID SOME MAMA'S, NOT ALL. No need to message me and tell me your swaddle skills were on point and baby still hated it. It's okay, I promise.
I personally love the halo sleeping sacks you can choose to swaddle or have there arms out. Son doesn't like him arms swaddled but loves the feel of the sleep sack
@careylee, yea my son didn't like it either and if you tried to swaddle him in a regular blanket he always managed to get his foot out lol
we use halo swaddles. we have tried the zen swaddle and he didnt Like it.
Love to dream swaddles are the best!!!! We were given one for my daughter which she didn't care for being swaddled but I now use it on my son and it's my favorite swaddle we have! It's sooo easy and I feel he's most comfortable in this one. I love how his arms are up instead of being pinned down to his sides. They are pretty pricey but so worth it. Plus they have 3 different ones as they grow this one is the first step the next one the arms zip on and off to transition them and the 3rd is arms free.
I used halo sleep sack swaddle I recommend all moms getting at least 2 NB and 2 small I only have one small he loved to be swaddled for at least 5months then he was ready to wiggle lol. I did try swaddling with reg swaddles like Aden&Anis but most were to small I like the Lalabye baby brand much better.
