It depends on your baby. Never know. My son wore a size 1 at birth. My daughter just now can fit shoes and she is 5 months. And 1 still doesnt really fit. She has small feet

My husband has a collection now of sizes 4c & 5c for when he does start walking. They grow so fast anyway, your friend might like seeing them actually being used later & surprised from forgetting about it vs "collected" lol
