Women with WIC who still have young children who are still leArning to chew and don't have there back teeth and need soft mushy things. What do you all get? Or do you just mostly buy for the household? I got him applesauce and peas with his fruit and veggie check, got him Cheerios for cereal, chick peas because I'm nervous about introducing him to peanut butter... What else do you guys get? He can chew Cheerios good and they are small, I didn't know what other veggies or fruits to get that he could really eat and I didn't want to just get stuff for me. Even though I've been eating the applesauce cause he's mr. picky lately. I know I could probably purée or blend stuff up on my own?

I give my 10 month old peanut butter.... Not alot tho just very lil on spoon... He loves it...... I nurse so I know he's not allergic. Just started giving him it.. Only had few times

@suzzie., see I ate peanut butter I'm sure while I nursed.. No issues. But my son has an allergy to something what we don't know and his insurance won't cover food allergy testings. It's bullsh!t I have to make some phone calls tomorrow to see what we can do so he can have them done. But his dad was even like its preventive care so we know not to feed him something so we don't have to rush him to the hospital every time, but they cover environmental..It's frustrating 😒

Wow, that's total bs they don't wanna cover it. Instead they rather the child suffer n have to cover the medical bill. I swear their dumb anymore. I only know my lil guy allergic to milk and garlic powder. Other than that he's okk... Like he can have like lil bit of chease and yogurt and he'll be fine. But to much he brakes out....I also developed a small reaction to milk as well And can't have to much or have reaction also. Wasent till I got pregnant with him it started.

@suzzie., yeah isn't that some shit! And the state made him switch to his fathers health insurance when I had him on fidelis/Medicaid and the nurse told me fidelis covered every test fully I'm like seriously that makes me mad.

That would make me mad as well. Why would they make you switch his insurance and now this insurance won't cover it

@suzzie., because fidelis doesn't want to cover him if he can be on another insurance... Basically saving them money 🙄 but good news is that Medicaid will probably cover the testings in full! That's what the girl told me and she said if they don't it won't be a large amount for his father and I to pay!! That's a relief I was thinking he wasn't going to be able to have it done and he's definitely allergic to something so thank god for Medicaid the girl said it's absolutely necessary for him to have it done so they'll step in 🙌🏻 I just have to wait to hear from his doctors office to see if everything really is on the up and up

Thanks, gosh she will be getting it done. That's the worse fear not knowing what your baby can have due to reaction to somthing
