Mamas that have had a c section. Should I be as scared as I freaking am.. 🤤🤤
I had a emergency csection. I didn't have time to panic. It wasn't that bad but just remember when they let you walk make yourself get up every chance you get! It will make it worse if you don't move around. As for the csection itself it was very strange more than anything. They were almost done by the time I realized they had already started. You feel them pulling tugging and pushing. It's not that bad. Just stay calm and breathe
MAKE SURE YOUR KEEP UP WITH THE MEDS !!! lol and take your stool softener!!!!! That damn first poop was a bitch for me cause I didn't take any stool softener 🤦🏽♀️
The c section it self wasn't bad and didn't take long. I freaked myself out for no reason lol.
The aftermath Is horrible I ain't even gonna lie to you. My stomach felt like it was ripping and on fire when I would try to move.
But walking walking walking is the key to recovery. Obviously don't over do it but try walking around the hospital halls that's what I did. It was painful but it's better for the healing.
Just take it easy if you have one. I thought I was fine to get up and walk around and stuff but by the end of the day I over did it and when I tried to sit up in bed it felt like my insides were ripping out and I couldn't walk.
@megankruke, I had my babies naturally and the anxiety just naturally couples with excitement. If you can, read up on and consider a doula (whether you opt for natural or c section). Their job is to aid you in anyway and keep you calm. I had a doula for my 2nd baby and it was amazing. I bounced on a stability ball through my contractions, played scattegories and just talked and the most difficult part of labor was about an hour prior to having my daughter. Before that, if you take some time to just breathe and realize that your muscles are just contracting, you can physically manage your pain levels through breathing.
And this is coming from someone who labored for over 36 hours with each of my children. No epidural.
Try to go naturally if you can, the experience is actually more exciting than it is scary. Movies tend to really dramatize things of course.
There's a book called Supernatural childbirth that is extremely helpful too.
I had my babies at 20 and 22. I am now 31 and I'll be having my little boy in February. I will tell you, if you gear yourself up, it's very exciting. And if you really feel like you can't, definitely have a csection, of course. There's no wrong way to have a baby. The point is that they come into the world healthy and that you are healthy too! So whatever you choose will be the best route to go. Good luck!
@megankruke, I know I know because I was scared to death too for natural the anxiety of when this will happen but idk I think I'm for it because it's the natural way. I tried really hard to fight for a natural birth with my second one and sadly the protein in urine doubled so once again I was put at risk so at 37 weeks they removed him... my sis gave NATURAL birth to twins at 40 years old 😂lmao YOU can do it!!!
@melinanae see, i hear different opinions. But I have a few friends that have had a c section vs natural. & the ones that did natural have horror stories so that doesn't make me want to do it lol. My c section mama friends also say they felt like a million bucks after about a 8 days . I'm hoping I'm making the right choice. 😶
@megankruke, I don't even know why I guess because it's natural. 😞😞😞I wish I could've had it all natural. The spinal tap is painful it's just the little things is no longer the same. Sitting still felt weird 4 years later. Idk just different. I guess when I saw my sis she was like nothing. Got up showered, laughed, walked. You are literally disabled for like 2-3 weeks I don't know I honestly hated it. 😞😞😞but I mean I survived! The scar isn't so bad. Still reddish almost 6 months later and numb.
@megankruke, 😳nooooooo do the natural if you can. I had to do c section because I developed high blood pressure!
The c section isn't bad at all. It's the aftermath that's the real bitch lol. You're whole body is just very sore that you can't even laugh. I had to warn my family before visiting to please not make me laugh. The nurses force u to get up and start walking so may wanna kill a few of them lmao but in a few days it's better and you start feeling like yourself again. You must keep walking a lot though.
See, natural scares the living day lights out of me so thats kinda why I opted for one. I'm hoping its not as bad as my mind is making it seem🙄 good luck to you tho! I hope youre able too!
Oh wow sorry for that 😭 I hope I can have my baby natural this time I don't want that experience again I still can't feel my bottom half of my tummy it's been over a year
@skysmommy04 I had placenta previa but I actually just found out it fixed itself but my doctor said its still my choice so I opted for a c section .
@skysmommy04 my pain tolerance is complete crap 🙄 so I'm not really looking forward to this..
No for me it felt like the first day at the gym and I over did it on crunches laughing sneezing coughing will be painful but I didn't need meds until night time for sleep that's just me tho I have high pain tolerance
@megankruke as for pain. I only took half of a 5 hydrocodone once a day because I moved alot! They took my babies to the NICU 45min away so I had to walk up from the parking lot up to the 5th floor and still have to walk from their to the NICU which was probably about a mile of walking one way everyday after I got out the hospital. Just remember not to over do it at first tho cause them you'll end up hurting yourself more than helping
